Karen M. Montas


Karen has been involved in civil trial litigation since 2002. She began her career as a civil defense attorney representing all the major insurance companies in a variety of cases. Starting in 2009, she added representing individuals as well as corporations. Karen earned her undergraduate degree in 1998 and her law degree in 2002 from Nova Southeastern University. She is admitted to practice in all State Courts as well as the three United States District Courts in the State of Florida. Karen M. Montas was born in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic and moved to the United States as a child.

Karen, her husband, Firm Administrator Thomas Turner, and their family, are long standing members of their local church. As a family, they support several charitable organizations including The Children’s Hunger Project, Brevard Cultural Alliance, and Love INC. Karen has the pleasure of serving as one of the members of weVenture’s League of Extraordinary Women, a group of business owners and entrepreneurs committed to supporting and mentoring the businesswomen of tomorrow. Karen and her husband are quite adventurous. They have hiked the Inca trail to Machu Picchu; been white water rafting in Patagonia; trekked the Artic Circle in Norway chasing auroras; among other adventures.
