February 2024 Newsletter

Trusted Experience. Proven Success. Unmatched Service.

When we think about February, everyone jumps to Valentine’s Day. However, this year, it’s a leap year! We have an extra day in the month to love ourselves and others.

An extra day to laugh, dance or buy a new pair of shoes. . . May this month be “extra”

for each of you.

Is Florida "full coverage" auto insurance enough?

Customer: Hello, I am looking to get full coverage on my vehicle.

Agent: We can offer you property damage and personal injury protection. That is full coverage in Florida. We have some reasonable quotes for full coverage as you requested.

Customer: Perfect. This is less than I pay now. Sign me up!

Agent: I will send over the policy terms shortly.

Were you aware that Florida “full coverage” consists of only Property Damage (PD) and Personal Injury Protection (PIP)? This “full coverage” does not provide you with all the true coverage you may need in the case of a auto accident!

Property Damage coverage does not cover damage to your vehicle. It allows recovery by the other person if you were at fault and strike another vehicle, or you cause damage to property. Collision coverage protects your own vehicle if you are at fault.

Personal Injury Protection covers your medical bills and lost wages up to $10,000; however, there are limitations to this coverage. Medical bills are covered at 80% of the bill, and 60% of lost wages. If you are seriously injured, PIP will not be enough to cover your medical bills and if you do not have health insurance to cover these costs, they may become a financial burden during a very difficult time.

These are additional forms of coverage we highly recommend that provide you important protections.

Bodily Injury Coverage pays for injury or death to others when you are at fault in a crash. This coverage protects your assets should you be at fault for a catastrophic injury or loss.

Uninsured Motorist coverage protects you if an uninsured or underinsured driver causes an accident and compensates you for damages that would normally be covered by the at-fault driver’s policy. It allows you to seek recovery under your own policy if you are hit by someone who does not have insurance or if they are underinsured.

Call your insurance agent TODAY to verify or update your coverage to properly protect you and your loved ones.

Pet of the Month:

Meet Duke

Our Pet of the month is Duke. He is a beloved

member of the family of our paralegal, Patty

Clark. Duke is a 7-year-old mixed breed, who came

to the Clark family from the S.P.C.A. Previously Duke

had been in an abusive environment, which resulted

in his removal and criminal charges against his

previous owners. Although he remains very shy and ti

mid, he is extremely lovable and has been in his

forever home since he was two years old. He is an

avid peanut butter lover and enjoys spending time

with his family and teasing the family chickens.

We would love to hear about your pet!
